Ross Leonard

Team driver

Ross started racing in 1985 in Street stocks, after one season he followed in the footsteps of his Dad and both Brothers and raced Stockcars.  After gaining a reputation as a hard charger and big hitter, Ross made the Hawke’s Bay Hawkeye’s A grade team in 1988-89 season. Years of teams racing was to follow with many good race wins both in the team and on his own. Over the years Ross has been in many major championships and has always done well to either finish well or entertain the large crowds at these events.  Ross is a Prison Guard when he isn’t racing. 

Cath Leonard

Team organizer

Cath is a newcomer to the speedway environment but has embraced the challenge and provides Ross moral support and ensures the team is well prepared come race day.  Cath is a nurse when she isn’t organizing.

Brent “Spud” Murphy

Crew Chief

Spud brings a wealth of stockcar and mechanical knowledge to the team.  He has raced his own stockcar and is an avid motor sports fan (both 2 wheels and 4).  Spud is a butcher during the day.

Dwayne Martin

Pit Crew

Dwayne completed his first season as a stockcar crew member.  He brings plenty of enthusiasm and has been attending speedway for many years as a spectator and is enjoying the change to being more actively involved.  Dwayne is an accountant.
