Well, xmas has come and gone and its brought us a new year and the second half of the racing season, the business end of the season if you like. I'm sad to say that yes the 5R car is for sale and will not run again this season under the number, BUT, the car will still make it to the NZ Champs in Wellington at the end of the month but in the hands of Stratford competitor, Mike 'Billy' Jury and will be renumbered 7S. Mike has leased the car for the remainder of the season or until the car is sold.

So keep your eyes and ears peeled for a result from the NZ champs 25/26th Jan.

Till then take care, keep the racing on the brown stuff.

The Date: 03/11/2007,
The venue: Paradise Valley Raceway,
The mood: Excited nervousness,
The rules: Out the window.

Its was time to put 6 months of hard work, sweat and money to the test at the opening night of Rotorua.
We got off to a bad start with my wing turning to custard in the afternoon so it was the spare wing of the 16R car that was taped up and used for the night. Getting to the track was a bit of a rush but we got there in plenty of time to get greensheeted and passed with flying colours.
So heat 1 and it was grid 2, the nerves were on high alert and I was wondering if the car was even going to turn the first corner, it was a great start as I led the field but it was quickly noted something wasnt right in the engine dept so the right foot was lifted and a slower pace taken, 17R blew the engine on the back straight and so across the finishline I went with a 2nd place, Race 2 and it was grid 4, with the cars in front of me geting a better start I decided to try a few things and stay at the back but with a 3rd placing it was still a great race. The feature, grid 2 it was again but grid 1 was vacant with no 17R. So I knew I had to keep the others at bay while i was at the front, it was all go from the green and it felt like the longest race ever but I managed to lead from start to finish in what became my first win on the Rotorua track, I took great pleasure in my victory lap but paid for it when returning to the pits I was drowned by 2 buckets of cold water.
So after all the hard work gone into then car and the stress levels reaching the heavens, it was well worth it.

Next event will be the teams weekend in Huntly on the 24th November before our fist big meeting on Dec 1st for the BOP Mod champs in Rotorua.

Be safe, drive carefully and if your at the same track as us dont be shy, come and say HI.

Hey folks, its been awhile and we have been very busy putting the car together trying to make the first practice, I'm still not sure if this is going to happen yet as there is still things to be bought for it to finish it. The engine is in and plumbed up and I am awaiting the new methanol carb to arrive and a set of nerfbars to complete it, opening night is looking more likely to be the first time I will be able to get the car to the track as the trailer still needs finishing too.
The new body is finished and awaiting to go off to the powdercoaters along with the new bonnet and wing.
We are still looking for a couple of new sponsors to help out with methanol this season and have plenty of space for anyone wanting to get their company name out there, feel free to contact me anytime.

Well untill next month, take care, drive safe and see you at a track near you soon.

Well it's been a while so I thought I better let everyone know, WE HAVE A CHASSIS!
Yes as of today (11/08) we have a chassis so now all the fun begins, we first have to
make sure everything is going to fit before it goes off to the sandblasters and powdercoaters.
Then on its return the diff and frontend can go in as everything is sitting waiting to be put together.
I must say it's a relief to finally have the chassis as I was starting to wonder if I
was ever going to get things going. There is a new colour scheme for the 07/08 season and
you'll know what it is when the site gets a overhaul, once again, thanks to Yaz.
Well better get off here and back to getting this car going.
Keep watching the site and I'll keep you updated as much as I can.

Well its winter now people and cars are changing hands quicker than the off
season can be done with. The 93R car is now stripped and has gone to its new
home and another creation is on its way, still looking for a buyer for the
engine and hope to be able to put a new power plant in for the 07/08 season.
The trailer is almost finished and will make life easier for all involved
too.
Must say thanks to Yaz and all those who supported us this season and to
the Rotorua Stockcar Club as we went to the annual prize giving to support
the club and to our shock was given the Perseverance trophy for the season,
wow! What a shock it was. So thanks to all that helped out and never gave up, even when the driver sometimes did.
So that's all for now till next month, keep counting the days down to the
07/08 season.
