In Concert
Simple Minds

On the evening of may 17th Yaz & Linz had the pleasure of attending the Aotea Centre in Auckland city to take in the Simple Minds Rock Concert, if you like loud music then this was the concert for you.
With Jim Kerr being the lead vocalist he led from the front superbly with the band performing hit after hit with songs like See The Lights, Waterfront, Don't You Forget About Me, Alive & Kicking, Ghostdancing, & many more of their smash hits including Home off their latest album.
This concert was nothing short of brilliant with the light show & smoke haze that was part of the show, it has been 17 years since Simple Minds performed in New Zealand & these guys rocked the house down at the Aotea Centre in what can only be described as a mind blowing concert in front of a packed house.
Do not leave it so long until you come back again as you guys were brilliant & thank you so much for coming to NZ.

NZ Warriors versus The Canberra Raiders

Being a loyal Canberra Raiders supporter I decided to take my daughter Yasmin who is also a Canberra Raiders supporter to this match & what a match it was as both teams threw the ball around as the match went from one end of the ground to the other all match long.
This was my & Yasmins first live match to see the Raiders as prior commitments have prevented us from going to any previous matches.
Although my beloved Raiders lost 24 points to 16 the match was played in good spirit.
Yaz & I were sitting in the south stand proudly wearing our Raiders caps & jumpers along with all of the Warriors supporters who were all good sports and the 18000 plus crowd that was packed into the stadium was in good voice throughout the match
Thank you Jason Crocker & all of the Canberra Raiders for coming to Ericsson stadium & giving the NZ Warriors a good hard close game.
Well done the NZ Warriors.
Final Score NZ Warriors 24 Canberra Raiders 16.
Good luck to both teams in their respective quests to make into the top 8 playoff positions in this seasons NRL competition
Thank you Jody for arranging tickets for Yaz & myself as it was really appreciated.

In Concert
Rock Superstar Peter Frampton

I had the greatest of pleasure in taking my 18yr old daughter Yasmin to see one of the worlds best ever Rock Superstars/ Guitarists in concert.
When Peter Frampton was in Auckland in the late seventies I took my then to be wife Sue to see him at Western Springs Stadium, that concert was mind blowing & now in 2005 he is back, he has matured that much more & has lost none of his touch as he kept the capacity crowd transfixed right from the get go as he did a combination of old & new material throughout his flawless performance.
Songs like Show Me The Way, Ill Give You Money, Lines On My Face, Breaking All The Rules, Baby I Love Your Way, & especially Do You Feel Like We Do, & many more really brought the house down, he was Live, he was Loud & he was Masterful & Brilliant as he whistled the hits off one after another including when he sat with his legs over the front of the stage & did a magic acoustic version of Penny For Your Thoughts.
When he started Do You Feel Like We Do I glanced across at my daughter who loves his music and the look on her face, words will never describe as she was in total & complete awe of this Brilliant Rock Superstar.
Peter Frampton ended his polished performance with a tribute to the late George Harrison when he performed a long version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, this left a lump in my throat as I am a very big fan of the late George Harrison.

Thank you so very very much Peter Frampton for yet another Exellent & Polished Concert of how a Rock Superstar performs, it is a concert that my daughter Yasmin & I will never forget come back soon as you are truly the Master of Rock Music.

Thank you again. Lindsey Dolbel.
