had the pleasure of attending the Aotea Centre in Auckland
city to take in the Simple Minds

Auckland New Zealand Being a loyal Canberra Raiders supporter
I decided to take my daughter Yasmin who is also a Canberra Raiders supporter to this match
& what a match it was as both teams threw the ball around as the match went from one end
of the ground to the other all match long. Lindsey Dolbel. Auckland New Zealand Mon May 16th 2005 In Concert Rock Superstar Peter Frampton I had the greatest of pleasure in taking my 18yr old daughter Yasmin to see one of the worlds best ever Rock Superstars/ Guitarists in concert. When Peter Frampton was in Auckland in the late seventies I took my then to be wife Sue to see him at Western Springs Stadium, that concert was mind blowing & now in 2005 he is back, he has matured that much more & has lost none of his touch as he kept the capacity crowd transfixed right from the get go as he did a combination of old & new material throughout his flawless performance. Songs like Show Me The Way, Ill Give You Money, Lines On My Face, Breaking All The Rules, Baby I Love Your Way, & especially Do You Feel Like We Do, & many more really brought the house down, he was Live, he was Loud & he was Masterful & Brilliant as he whistled the hits off one after another including when he sat with his legs over the front of the stage & did a magic acoustic version of Penny For Your Thoughts. When he started Do You Feel Like We Do I glanced across at my daughter who loves his music and the look on her face, words will never describe as she was in total & complete awe of this Brilliant Rock Superstar. Peter Frampton ended his polished performance with a tribute to the late George Harrison when he performed a long version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, this left a lump in my throat as I am a very big fan of the late George Harrison. Thank you so very very much Peter Frampton for yet another Exellent & Polished Concert of how a Rock Superstar performs, it is a concert that my daughter Yasmin & I will never forget come back soon as you are truly the Master of Rock Music. Thank you again. Lindsey Dolbel. |
