:: History ::

I've been making models for about 35 years off and on, but my first serious attempt was a 1957 Chev 210 2-door sedan, it was an early AMT kit.

From the early 1970's onward I have been steadily building up and increasing my model collection, which comprises of mainly cars, and aircraft with the occasional ship thrown in for good measure.

Having spent time in the RNZAF through the early 1970's, my tendency was toward aircraft and my favourite being a 1/72nd scale model of an A4K Skyhawk made in RNZAF colours. This was an early Frog-manufactured model (now no longer produced) and the transfer registration was NZ6207. Ironically this was the first skyhawk to be lost and I was stationed at RNZAF Ohakea/Manawatu at the time, so when I saw a model of it at a local model retailer, I grabbed it! Unfortunately due to governmental changes the Skyhawks were decommissioned in 2001.

Over the years I have made models for other people who basically gave me kits to assemble and paint for them, I have also made the occasional model for gifts and also a few for charities & raffles etc.

At the present time I have about 350 models of my own assembled and a few to build or rebuild.

Also I have a number of models from a very close friend (Mark Sutton) who was tragically killed in a motor accident a few years ago, these models are being rebuilt and updated as time permits for display.

Favourite models are

Aircraft:
- A4K & TA4K 1/72 Skyhawks
- Convair B58A Hustler Bomber
- Boeing B17 Flying Fortress
- Douglas DC6 1/72 Airliner
.....& many others!!.

Cars:
Mainly competition cars but too many to list at this stage.

Ships:
1/350 Scale Tamiya Bismarck.

To date all models are hand-painted with only one being spray-painted, that being a 1939 Chev Coupe Street Rod (pic on site).

More pics to come as time permits!!
